We had such a great time the 4th of July weekend! It was Karyn’s last 1st, so hard to believe she will be 1 next month.  This last year sure has flown by.

We started of Saturday by heading out to the Frisco Freedom Fest…..we headed out even though the skies were very, very dark.  We drove up to the square and people were leaving in large groups and then the rain starts.  It just starts pouring, so we decided to head to the mall to find something to do.  No such luck, a certain child was being very difficult.  We then headed out to grab a bite to eat, we notice the skies are getting better and check to find out the rain is moving out.  Fireworks were still on so we headed back to the square and enjoyed some music and fireworks.  Here are some photos from Saturday night.

Ready for some fire works, Tom and his 2 girls.

After a few minutes, Katie Lynn was not loving them anymore.

Karyn on the other hand, liked them very much.

When then had the McKinney celebration event on Sunday evening.  We headed out to go enjoy the evening.  It was a beautiful night with a nice breeze.  They had some bounce houses set up and Katie Lynn went to check them out.  Then we headed back to the car to set up our chairs and enjoy another round of fireworks.

Katie Lynn  knew just what to do.

Karyn was very happy with her new teething toy.

Katie Lynn….not so much.  (she liked to see them but the sound was not her friend)

Last of the months….hard to believe she will be 1 next month.

Weight: 19 lbs 8oz

She is up and about and into everything.  She wants to be where the action is and does not want to be left behind.  She is now taking 4-5 steps at a time and is not happy just crawling anymore.  She is on all table foods and still formula…count down for that!!  She also loves to talk to Wrigley. Here she is at 11 months…

not as easy as it used to be

Summer is in full swing and this summer Katie Lynn is signed up for dance class.  The class has ballet, tap and some tumbling.  The first class was a little rough and she had a hard time leaving mommy’s side but since then, she is a dance star!

There are about 15 2-4 year olds in the class, they start off with some ballet moves followed by tap and then end with some tumbling.

Waiting for class to start….

Finding her dot to start class.

The girls get their “horse” and they gallop around the room.

Now it is time for tap.

Is that the Tech step I see? Do I see a future member of the Goin’ Band?

They also do songs with movements and sticks.  Katie Lynn does a really good job of following the instructor.
