  1. Update! Update! Update!

January 23, 2009 by Monica Sepper

We have been so busy lately.  I am not sure where the time has gone.  Here is an update, hang on because there is lots!

We started off by going to a birthday party on the 10th, Katie Lynn’s little friend was turing 1! The kids had such a good time and liked to chase each other.

The next day we got to go out with Kim, Ryan and their girls.  We had fun catching up and just getting together.  Once again Katie Lynn is not thrilled to be taking pictures….but here is one of the girls anyways. cimg5562

The next weekend came up pretty fast, my good friend Michelle was getting married! At the last minute Tom and I decided to leave Katie Lynn with Wrigley….at Tom’s folks house. (of course, not by herself) It was a hard decision but we were driving so far in such a short time and we wanted to be sure we could do all there was for the wedding.  We dropped Katie Lynn and Wrigley off at Grandma and Heypa’s and then we headed down to Fredericksburg.  It was hard to leave her but knew it was best.

We were able to go to the rehersal dinner, enjoy a night of sleep and then wedding stuff all the next day.  It was a lot of fun to enjoy the time with Michelle and her hubby to be.  I enjoyed getting to spend Saturday with Michelle and I was really glad we got to be there for her big day.  She was beautiful!

Katie Lynn’s friend Lani came all the way in from Lubbock to visit her.  We all got to catch up and it was a lot of fun.  Larry and Janae were really here to visit their neices for the first time and we were so excited that they made some extra time to come see us.  It was nice to visit and have the girls play.

We also got some pictures of Katie Lynn standing and being silly.

A bunch to run together but wanted to share it all! I should feel much more rested in about 4 weeks and hopefully there will not be another 10 day drought on our blog.

  2. New Class & Party Time

January 6, 2009 by Tom Sepper

After a two week break from daycare since Monica was off, Katie Lynn went back yesterday.. but this time in a new room — the twaddler room. It’s a bit different than the infant room, and her teachers have said she has transitioned wonderfully. They told us the second day is usually worse than the first, but Katie Lynn had a great day today.

As funny as this sounds, we think it’s been easy for Katie Lynn because she was gone for two weeks as well as the fact that her friend Bridget also got transitioned to the new room within the last two weeks. Those two little girls are two peas in a pod.. they’re so cute together!

Speaking of Bridget, Katie Lynn (along with Monica and I) went to Bridget’s first birthday party on Sunday. We had a great time and were appreciative that Bridget’s parents thought of us.

  3. Christmas with Grams & Granddad

December 27, 2008 by Katie Lynn

I keep hearing my mommy and daddy say over and over, “It is so nice not to have to travel this year”, whatever that means.

Before our family Christmas we took a short trip down to my Grams and Granddad’s place.  My Aunt Amanda was there and so was my Great Grammy.  We had such a nice morning.  We all got to open some nice gifts and enjoy a nice fire in the fireplace.   I got a really cool pink chair, it is my size!!! I also got a bow holder from my Aunt Amanda with some really nice bows.  A girl can’t have too many of those, my aunt also said she had matching ones.  My Great Grammy Rose got me an outfit to wear and my Great Grammy Beth got me an outfit and an angel doll.  Here are some photos from Christmas with my mommy’s side of the family.

Also, we seem to get together with these people every year.  They are so much fun and I wanted to share some photos from then.  My aunt Amanda also brought her boyfriend home, he is fun too.  He has a big dog that kept playing with my toys.  We had a good time.

  4. Lubbock In Your Rear View Mirror

July 7, 2008 by Monica Sepper

Where to start….Lubbock has been a wonderful place to live, work and get together with great friends. We will miss our friends and we will miss going to Texas Tech sporting events but we will not miss the random brown skies.

We spent the last couple of weeks saying goodbye to friends and visiting the sights of Lubbock.

This was not our last time in Lubbock, we plan on visiting every fall for a good football game and in the spring for basketball.

This move was very smooth.  The movers showed up Tuesday at 8am and started loading us up, 4 hours later they took off. Then we made the big trip knowing that once we left, we would no longer be living in Lubbock. It took us about 6 hours to get from Lubbock to our new home in McKinney.

Our first night here was wonderful. I think we spent most of the night just amazed that we were really here and couldn’t wait to get things done. The next morning the movers got here and unloaded our truck.

It is now Monday night and we have been here for almost a whole week. We made it safe and sound, now just to get settled.

Here are some photos from our last week in Lubbock.

Best group of friends a girl could ask for, I am going to miss this group so much.
(We have room, you can always come and visit!!! )

    All the kiddos together.

Dana and Judy, two ladies who are very special to me.

Emma Kate and her mommy invited us over to swim. The girls had so much to talk about.

Colin invited Katie Lynn over to hang out.

All our love to our friends who are like family in Lubbock.  See you this fall at a game!! (We can’t stay away for long)

PS Congrats to Larry and Janae on the birth of their baby girl today.
