It has been a very busy couple of weeks. There seems to be something going on all the time and never enough time to get it all done. Here are some things we have been up to.
Monica’s family has a tradition at Christmas. Her parents started this their first year of marriage, they would buy an ornament for the year and a lot of times it would represent something important in that year. We decided our first year of marriage to continue this tradition and now we are continuing this with our girls. Our first picture here is Daddy helping Karyn hang her very first ornament on the tree.

Here is Mommy helping Katie Lynn hang her ornament. This is the first year that Katie Lynn has picked out her own ornament. Hers is a bus this year: She loves the big yellow school buses. At school there was a yellow bus that would drop off a student everyday and her classroom was at the front of the building and the kids could see the bus everyday. The whole class would yell BUS when they saw it and then when the bus drove away, they would say “bye-bye bus”. Ever since then, every time Katie Lynn sees a bus, she yells bus and just smiles.

For a about a week after we got the tree up, Katie Lynn would go to her bus everyday and say “my bus”. Tom and I would then say, “yes, your bus but it stays on the tree”. She would respond by saying “OH”. We laughed evertime. She is one funny girl.

Here is our fireplace, I love the stockings and each one has our name on it.

Here is our little Kare-bear all dressed up and ready to go out. We decided to go down to the tree lighting event in Frisco. It was a very cold Saturday night and we had so much fun.

Here are our 2 girls dressed and ready to go.

Once we parked, we made sure they were both bundled up, it was really windy and very cold. Katie Lynn kept saying “it cold, it cold”

Daddy and Katie Lynn are waiting in line to see the Big Red Man.

Mommy and Karyn are also waiting to see Santa Claus.

A family shot, Karyn was a sleep and warm, we didn’t want to wake her.
This was at the front of the line to see Santa, we were next.

Here is our wonderful shot of the girls Karyn with Santa.

Looks like y’all had a great time! Love the Bus story and watching Katie Lynn hang her ornament – and Karyn looks like the Queen of England, with her hat and “bow”!
hugs and love,
Grams and Granddad
