  2. Peanut Update-32 weeks

    July 13, 2009 by Monica Sepper

    Here we are, 32 weeks into our 2nd pregnancy. (today is really 33 weeks but I am a week behind)  It is kind of scary to think that we will soon have another little one to watch and take care of.  We are so excited for the arrival of Peanut.  We can’t wait to meet him/her, see who they look like and really can’t wait to see how Katie Lynn reacts to a new baby.

    Last week was a busy week, we had a sono appointment and our regular doctor’s appointment.  Both appointments went great!

    Sono- the doctor checked out Peanut and was pleased with how the baby looked.  All of Peanut’s organs and growth look great also.  This doctor took a special look at the stomach and intestines, he said all looked good. Peanut’s heartbeat was 138 and from the measurements he/she weights about 4.5 pounds.

    Regular appointment- We meet with another doctor in the practice, we have almost met them all.  This one was really nice and is the one that Monica has talked to on the phone several times when she has had to call after hours.  The doctor was please with all of Monica’s reports and she checked out the baby as well.  At this appointment Peanut’s heartbeat was 140 and measured at the 32 week mark.  Right on track.  Things are looking great! We couldn’t be more excited.

    Here are some photos: What you really came for

    Here is Peanut, you can see the face and the arm is going across the side of the face.

    I love this one, you can see more of a profile but if you look closely, you can see all the hair on Peanut’s head.  The hair looks like it is combed to the side.  The sono tech kept going on and on about how much hair the baby has.

  3. In Need of Some Prayers

    July 8, 2009 by Tom Sepper

    We tend to be fairly whimsical and carefree on our blog, but this entry takes a very serious shift today.

    My (Tom’s) Mom had surgery today to remove a mass in her bladder. The doctor said he’s 99% sure it’s cancerous. He removed all that he could; if he removed any more, he would have been taking part of the bladder. Pathology results from the biopsy should be back in a week or so. If the doctor’s suspicions are confirmed, chemotherapy will commence shortly thereafter, and then roughly three months from then, he’ll go back in and remove the bladder entirely.

    I ask that you please keep my Mom in your prayers. Please pray that the good Lord gives us all the strength to fight and beat this thing together.

    Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
    Proverbs 3:5-6

    So do not fear, for I am with you;
    do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
    I will strengthen you and help you;
    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
    Isaiah 41:10

    Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
    Matthew 19:26

    Waiting for the fun to start

    After the morning we headed home so Katie Lynn could get a nap before our evening out.

    We went that night to the Big Red, White and Boom celebration for our city.  They had lots of fun things for kids to do.  We took a train ride.

    They even had hot air balloons!! Katie Lynn saw them and pointed, she was very much excited!

    Daddy took KL up to the balloon and she got to touch it.  She was having a blast.

    End of the night was time for fire works.  Katie Lynn did so well and saw the first couple and she was scared.  She had a death grip on me and would not budge.

    Mommy finally got KL to sit with Daddy and then she covered her eyes.

    Katie Lynn would peak through her fingers every couple of fireworks.

    Over all, our day was wonderful and we had a great time celebrating the 4th of July.
