In Need of Some Prayers

July 8, 2009 by Tom Sepper

We tend to be fairly whimsical and carefree on our blog, but this entry takes a very serious shift today.

My (Tom’s) Mom had surgery today to remove a mass in her bladder. The doctor said he’s 99% sure it’s cancerous. He removed all that he could; if he removed any more, he would have been taking part of the bladder. Pathology results from the biopsy should be back in a week or so. If the doctor’s suspicions are confirmed, chemotherapy will commence shortly thereafter, and then roughly three months from then, he’ll go back in and remove the bladder entirely.

I ask that you please keep my Mom in your prayers. Please pray that the good Lord gives us all the strength to fight and beat this thing together.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6

So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Matthew 19:26

    Tears come to my eyes every time I see all of the comments from your friends. All of their thoughts, prayers and concerns are deeply appreciated. Because of their prayers, I know things will work out exactly the way they are suppose to work out. Please thank each and every one of them for me. My spirits are lifted by all of their prayers, and, again, I really appreciate each and every one of them. Thank you.

    Love,
    Mom
