March for Babies Year 2
First let us start off by saying a big “THANK YOU” to all our friends and family who donated to this wonderful cause. Because of you, more help will be able to be given to these babies. We raised 470 dollars for the March of Dimes and this will go to helping find a way to have all babies born healthy!
We were kind of picture happy…between my mom and me…..there will be lots to share. I know you all check for photos anyways. If you want to compare from last year, you can take a look here, 2008 March.
We started off by getting up really early on a Saturday. Here is Katie Lynn ready for the big day. 
We met Monica’s parents at the first bus pick-up. We got to ride the rail to our 1st stop. Katie Lynn loves buses. She shouts out bu, bu, bu!!! Points, smiles and laughs. Here we are waiting on our bus.

KL was a little out of character this morning, she was very clingy and unsure of what was going on. Still waiting on our first bus trip. ( I LOVE THIS PHOTO!!!)
We caught the rail bus and it was packed! We managed to get on with the stroller and all. Found standing room only in the middle of two cars, it was great. Then we got into a line to wait for the shuttle to take us over to the start of the race.
When we got to the race, we took a look around. There were lots of people and lots of things to go look at. KL decided she was ready to walk for a little while before being stuck in her stroller.

Granddad, Grams and Katie Lynn. What a great shot!! Still trying to figure out how we got all 3 to smile and look at the camera, all in 1 take! Grams & Granddad were very excited to walk with us today.
Katie Lynn was so excited to get out and on her own for a few minutes. She took off like she was on a mission to get somewhere. She loves to walk!
It was time to start the race! The morning was a little gloomy but ended up being nice because it was not too hot for the 5 mile walk. We met up with Kim, Ryan and the girls at the start of the race and got to walk with them too. KL was not very happy in her stroller and finally fell asleep at about the halfway mark.
She always picks the most comfortable sleep positions. 
We made it from start to finish and only got rained on a little. There were lots and lots of people and everyone is always so friendly at these things. Here we are at the end as a group.

We were all tired and it was time to catch the bus to catch the rail to catch our cars. Here we are back on the shuttle bus.
KL loved to ride the bus, she was having so much fun.

We all made it back to our cars and decided that after a long walk that we needed to grab some lunch. We had such a nice day and had fun! Can’t wait for next year.
We also had a couple other supporters that couldn’t make it to the race but they were cheering us on in spirit.
Grandma and Heypa cheered us on!!
