  1. We’re MFFLs

December 31, 2008 by Tom Sepper

Flashback to the week of Thanksgiving. Monica and I are gearing up to go to the Mavericks vs. Pacers game that Tuesday night. Unfortunately, Katie Lynn comes down with strep throat preventing us from attending the game.

As a Christmas gift, Monica bought Mavs tickets for the game versus the Timberwolves yesterday.

First order of business.. get ready!

The drive down to the American Airlines Center was a cinch.. straight down 75, a slight curve over on the Woodall Rodgers, and around to the parking lot. Surprisingly, the parking lot was very close to the arena. We arrived a bit early, so we walked around the ground level and concourses.

Next up was finding our seats. Not a bad view!

Katie Lynn was rather restless before the game started and in the first quarter. We brought a container of Cheerios for her, and by the end of the first quarter, more than half of them were gone. We were worried she’d get even more restless, but she calmed down for the most part. A group of high school girls behind us kept her entertained thankfully!

Katie Lynn even clapped many times when the crowd was getting into the game.

As for the game.. WOW! First half was horrendous Maverick basketball.. but the second half was a complete 180. It was such a thrilling second half that ended up being the greatest comeback in Mavericks franchise history.. down by 29 at one point and in the end winning by 7.

We had a great time and hope to do it again sometime!

Oh, and for those that don’t know.. MFFL = Mavericks Fan For Life. :)

  2. Christmas with Grandma & Heypa

December 30, 2008 by Katie Lynn

It is me again! I wanted to share our Christmas with my Daddy’s side of the family.  We had such a good time.  We woke up early to head over.  Once we got there we had breakfast and then it was time to open gift.  I got some very nice things for Christmas.  Lots and lots of new toys from my grandparents and from Aunt Kim & Uncle Ryan.  My mommy and daddy got some nice things too.

Since someone forgot to take any photos…here are 2 of the few that we got.  Really……we were not very camera happy today ;)

Lauren got the Christmas box this year!  I got it last year.  This box has been passed down several generations.  This box belonged to my Grandma’s Mom.  Every year someone would get the Christmas box and then it was their job to pass the box onto someone new the next Christmas.  Lauren was very excited to get this special box for the 1st time.

And here is the only other photo we have.  My cousin Lauren and I were watching the dancing snowmen, we had chairs to watch the show.  We had such a good time.

  3. Christmas with Grams & Granddad

December 27, 2008 by Katie Lynn

I keep hearing my mommy and daddy say over and over, “It is so nice not to have to travel this year”, whatever that means.

Before our family Christmas we took a short trip down to my Grams and Granddad’s place.  My Aunt Amanda was there and so was my Great Grammy.  We had such a nice morning.  We all got to open some nice gifts and enjoy a nice fire in the fireplace.   I got a really cool pink chair, it is my size!!! I also got a bow holder from my Aunt Amanda with some really nice bows.  A girl can’t have too many of those, my aunt also said she had matching ones.  My Great Grammy Rose got me an outfit to wear and my Great Grammy Beth got me an outfit and an angel doll.  Here are some photos from Christmas with my mommy’s side of the family.

Also, we seem to get together with these people every year.  They are so much fun and I wanted to share some photos from then.  My aunt Amanda also brought her boyfriend home, he is fun too.  He has a big dog that kept playing with my toys.  We had a good time.

  4. Merry Christmas

December 25, 2008 by Monica Sepper

Another year has come and gone, we can not believe how fast the year flew by.  We spent Christmas eve together as a family, we went to church and then out to look at lights.  When we got home, Katie Lynn got to open 1 gift.  She got a pair of Pajamas from her mommy.  Then her Daddy read her the night before Christmas.  Reading to her was started last year in the hospital.

Katie Lynn was very excited! She left a plate of cookies and a glass of milk for Santa.  She feel asleep infront of the fireplace waiting for Santa to come.

All tired out….what a long night

After a good nights sleep, we woke up this morning to find some goodies left from Santa.  We had a very nice Christmas morning, opening gifts and then making pancakes for breakfast.
