  1. Always Something…

April 28, 2008 by Monica Sepper

Lets go back to Thursday the 24th of April.  What a long day for starters.  I remember getting out the door late and getting to school “late”, for me late anyways, and then having a million things to do.  We had SOI testing, picture retakes, and Kindergarten registration.

I love Kindergarten registration.  The kids come in so cute and very excited about school.  It makes me excited about the next school year.

So, after a long day of work it was time to go get Katie Lynn and head home.  This is my favorite part of the day, going to get my little girl.  Oh, and I was also trying to print our graphics for our shirts for the walk with no luck.  I was tired and ready to go.  I get out to my car, start my car and start to back out.  Ummm, I feel kind of off balance. I get out to take a look and sure enough, a big flat tire.  What to do.

I call Tom for help.  He goes to get Katie Lynn from daycare and then heads over to help me change my tire.  Changing a tire sure is fun.  We got it changed and all is good.  We also found the source of the problem, I had run over a nail at some point.  Yup, a nail, that will do it.

I just wanted to share some photos with you all.

Me standing on the lug nut wrench trying to get it to budge. (Yup, in my nice work clothes)

    Tom changing out the tire.

And sweet Katie Lynn helping out by sleeping in the car.

  2. March for Babies

April 26, 2008 by Monica Sepper

Our Big Walk was today!! First off, thank you to all our family and friends who donated to the March of Dimes by sponsoring us in our walk. We couldn’t have done it without your support!

First off, to get ready for the day, we made shirts to wear on our walk. These were fun, we plan on wearing them every year and just add the new date. Our Family name was Team Katie Bug. Katie Lynn was of course ready to go and had a bow to match. I got the bow(s) from my friend Andi, you can find one for your daughter too. (www.thebow-dandthebeautiful.com)

Here we are at the beginning of the day and here we are walking Katie Lynn in her stroller. We had so much fun.

We walked to the finish line and got stickers that said “I did it!”. Miss Katie Lynn is wearing hers.

  3. Say Cheese!

So.. I guess we’re those parents that didn’t realize it was picture day.. even though there was a sign on the door for a couple weeks. I dropped her off at daycare and was informed it was picture day and to take her to the room where they’re taking the photos.

So here is Katie Lynn’s first “school” picture with the outfit of the day and uncombed hair (and no bow). But she is still as cute as can be!

PS – It could have been worse.. you know, like different color socks. ;)

  4. My How She’s Grown

Monica’s holding Katie Lynn up in the first picture taken on February 4, 2008. In the second picture, taken on April 13, 2008, Katie Lynn is actually standing up by herself!

We’re amazed at how much she’s grown in only two months.
