It Does A Body Good

That’s right! Our big girl is drinking milk!

We were a bit concerned about how her body would react and adapt to milk given the problems we had back in January and February that led to her being on Enfamil AR.

After Katie Lynn’s one year appointment, we started on the sippy cup and milk cold turkey — and she hasn’t had any problems whatsoever. In fact, it’s taking her a little bit longer to drink her “bottle” now, which is a good thing since she used to gulp down her formula in two minutes flat.

Our little girl is growing up so fast!

1 year Dr Appointment

Dr was very happy with me and thought I was doing great

*weight: 19 lbs 3.5 oz (20%)  @ 9 months (12%)

*height: 28 inches (25%) @ 9 months (25%)

*head: 18 cm (60% = big head, just like my mommy)

I gained in all the right places and the only down side is…..I can’t sit forward in my car seat yet

Onto my party with pictures, since I know that is why you are here.

My very 1st big birthday party!  I had so much fun and all my family and friends came to celebrate with me.  My mommy and daddy worked so hard to get the house ready and get all the fun party stuff together.

I woke up from my nap and got to put on my birthday outfit.  When I got downstairs there were lots of people ready to party with me.  We got to hang out for a while and play.

Then I got to blow out my candle and make a birthday wish.  The best part was when I got to eat my cake! I ate the whole thing, it was the best cupcake ever! Then I shared my other cupcakes with everyone.

After my cupcake I got to open presents.  I got a lot of nice things and I am so thankful for all my family and friends who thought of me on my special day.

Thank you to all who came and helped celebrate on my special day.  Thank you for the nice presents and Thank you most of all for being there and always thinking of me.

I love you all!!! Hugs and Kisses- Katie Lynn

Part 3 of 3

After a long day of pictures, traveling, pictures, the zoo, more pictures, it was time for the evening celebration.  We are so blessed to have family close by and they were able to come over and help celebrate Katie Lynn’s 1st birthday on her birthday.

We had a great time and it was a great way to end the perfect day.

Part 2 of 3

There has been so much going on that I haven’t had time to finish my post.

On Wednesday, Tom and I took the day off to celebrate Katie Lynn’s 1st birthday.  We headed to the Fort Worth Zoo.  Katie Lynn had such a great time.  She loved that animals and of course she had a favorite.  Can you guess what her favorite was? Leave a guess ;)

We started the day off by walking past the flamingos and then walked through the prime mate pavilaian.
